Beautiful Moments, Less Fuss

SMALL WEDDINGS + ELOPEMENTS

A wedding photographer you don’t need a f**king a loan to hire.

Somewhere along the way, "wedding photography" became code for a five-figure package, an eighteen-hour day, and a contract longer than your vows. I’m going against the grain. Courthouse, backyard, beachside — if it's real and it's yours, I'll capture it properly, without the markup that comes from the word "wedding" being in the price.

A newlywed couple dressed in wedding attire leaning over a fountain in an outdoor urban park, with the groom dipping the bride while holding her waist. The bride is holding flowers and wearing white heels, and the groom is in a blue suit. There are trees with autumn leaves, benches, and tall buildings in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

Do it your way.

When I got married, we eloped far far far away from anywhere anyone might be tempted to follow. So when I say I get it, I really do. Modern weddings are absurd in so many ways — but regardless of how you do it, it’s still a special day that deserves to be remembered well.

Let’s be honest — a lot of photographers end up shooting weddings just for the money. They’ll swear up and down it’s “their passion” but they just like being able to charge you an arm-and-a-leg for predictable shots with copy/paste edits. So I’ll be upfront with you: weddings are not my niche. So far, I’ve avoided them on purpose, actually. The phrase “creative dead end” may have left my lips once or twice ;)

But here’s what I’ve realized after shooting a few ceremonies for close friends and past clients — weddings aren’t all pomp, circumstance, and charade. Even in the most opulent Beverly Hills blowout, it’s still just two human beings beneath those fancy clothes. And wherever human beings go, there is the opportunity for true beauty to come out.

Close-up of hands, one wearing engagement and wedding rings, holding another hand. Surface appears to be sand with small pebbles.

So for me shooting weddings is about finding those quiet moments between the scenes, under all the nerves, and amidst the oft complicated context.

I love simplicity. I love purity. I love creative.

If you’re doing something unique on your wedding day, eloping quietly, or just want to hire someone who isn’t there to extract every cent they can from you — I’m there for it.

“I have always loved Jack's creations, trust his eye for beauty, and the outcome of his work consistently blows me away. Working with Jack is always a gift on many levels. He made such incredibly memorable visuals from our backyard wedding.”
